Property and Rent Consult ("PRC", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and your rights under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
1. Who we are
Property and Rent Consult is the data controller for the personal data processed through this website (www.propertynrentconsult.homes). You can reach us at info@propertynrentconsult.homes or by WhatsApp on +233 20 807 1633.
2. What personal data we collect
We collect only what is necessary for the purpose stated at the point of collection:
- Contact form — your name, email address, and message.
- Consultation request form — your name, email address, WhatsApp number, the service you are enquiring about, and a brief description of your situation.
- Lead-magnet sign-up — your email address, submitted when requesting the Tenant's Rights Pocket Guide.
- Purchases via Selar — payment and delivery data is collected directly by Selar and its payment partners (Paystack, Flutterwave). PRC does not receive or store payment card information.
We do not collect sensitive personal data (as defined in Act 843) and we do not use cookies or tracking scripts beyond what is strictly necessary to serve the site.
3. How we use your data
- To respond to your contact or consultation enquiry.
- To deliver the free resource you requested.
- To send periodic guidance and updates you have subscribed to — you may unsubscribe at any time.
- To improve our services based on general feedback and enquiry patterns.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your data on the following grounds under Act 843:
- Consent — when you submit a form or sign up for a download, you consent to us contacting you in connection with that request.
- Legitimate interest — to respond to enquiries, operate our consulting desk, and maintain our records.
- Contractual necessity — to deliver products and services you have purchased.
5. Third-party processors
We use the following services to process data on our behalf. Each is bound by its own privacy terms:
- Web3Forms — receives and forwards form submissions to our inbox. No submissions are stored permanently on their servers beyond delivery. See web3forms.com/privacy.
- Netlify — hosts and serves this website. Standard server logs (IP addresses, browser type) are retained briefly for security and diagnostics. See netlify.com/privacy.
- Selar — processes digital product purchases. See selar.com/privacy-policy.
- Google Fonts — serves typefaces used on this site; your IP address is transmitted to Google's servers on page load. See policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected:
- Enquiry correspondence — up to 3 years from last contact, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Email subscriber list — until you unsubscribe or request removal.
- Consultation records — up to 6 years from the date of engagement, consistent with standard professional record-keeping.
7. Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion — request that we delete your data, subject to any legal obligation to retain it.
- Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent; this does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.
- Complaint — lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission of Ghana at dataprotection.org.gh.

8. Data security
This website is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted securely to our inbox. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. No transmission over the internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
Our services are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
